Data Integration Suite
Data Integration Suite offers a comprehensive, modular set of technologies with advanced, integrated modeling, development and management tools. This architecture makes it easy to accelerate the seamless flow of data to address an organization's most serious integration challenges, be they business-oriented, such as CRM, or technology-focused, such as service-oriented application development. The five integration technologies provided by the suite are shown in the individual components of the arch in the following diagram:

Supporting these component technologies is an integrated modeling and metadata layer that leverages the data modeling capability of Sybase PowerDesigner, the industry’s No. 1 data modeling solution. In addition, the suite’s development tool, WorkSpace, provides an integrated development environment (IDE).

EnterpriseConnect Data Access
EnterpriseConnect Data Access is the enterprise data solution for gaining transparent access to heterogeneous databases. It allows applications to interact with Sybase and non-Sybase databases to access, consolidate and/or update data. EnterpriseConnect Data Access provides the fundamental building blocks for connectivity between LAN and Internet-based clients and enterprise data sources.

MainframeConnect
Organizations with environments requiring connectivity between client/server databases and mainframe data can use MainframeConnect to solve this challenge. MainframeConnect supplies the connectivity tools to provide high-performance access to a variety of mainframe data sources, including CICS, IMS and MVS systems.

ETL
ETL (extract, transform and load) supports data consolidation by bringing data or copies of data from multiple sources together into a single repository. Avaki EII version 6.2:  If you are using version 6.2 of Avaki EII, we recommend migrating to the Data Federation component in the Data Integration Suite. This component is the next release of Sybase enterprise information integration (EII) technology (formerly Avaki) and includes improved metadata modeling capabilities, tabular data stream (TDS) protocol support and the ability to execute distributed transactions.

EAServer:  If you are using EAServer application server for your application development, we recommend adding the Real-Time Events component from the Data Integration Suite to incorporate real-time visibility of data changes in your business-critical applications. Real-Time Events is compatible with the EAServer JMS (java messaging system) bus, and will proactively move time-critical events from various data sources through this bus and out to the appropriate applications.
